Super clean and straight - classic, sexy roadster - well restored, very collectable
This 1963 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider was recently imported from Japan and sports a beautiful Alfa red exterior and new black interior. Overall condition is excellent and the body is straight and rust free with an exceptionally clean undercarriage. Mechanically sound and complete. Odometer reads 10,210 which we believe is accurate roll over - so 110K total miles.
Has just undergone a full detail restoration to a high level. All chrome was removed and replated to a high standard, engine set up and tuned with a fresh 2-barrel downdraft carb per original spec, a new top has been fitted and many details finished off. This is a truly spectacular car now in very fine restored condition.
With styling by Pininfarina, the Giulietta Spider is one of the best looking roadsters ever designed. In person the perfect curves and elegant lines accentuate the grace and elegance of the compact body. These are perhaps the most enjoyable model to drive in the entire Alfa 60’s catalog.
Getting to be super rare as there were only 3,706 1600 spiders made in 1963. The Giulia Spider was based on the very successful sedan Giulia, and with the powerful and rev happy 1.6 liter engine offered excellent performance for the day, being one of the fastest 60’s roadsters under 3 liters. Specs are period impressive at 105 HP, O-60 in under 10 seconds, top speed 107 mph, dry weight 2116 lbs, 153.5 in long, 88.6 in wheelbase This model was designated the typo 101.23 for the US market.
Global values for Giulia Spiders have been on the upswing for some time now. That means that this car is very likely to appreciate if maintained, possibly very significantly.
